The Williamson County Republican Women singing (well, sort of) about the ornament collection they amassed and are auctioning on ebay. The collection includes signed ornaments from Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Karl Rove, Martha MacCallum, Governors Pawlenty, Pataki, and Perry, Senators Hutchison and Cornyn, Congressmen and women, and many more! Bidding will continue until Tuesday, October 27, at 5am... What a hoot these women are! ------------- The Williamson County Republican Women have collected Christmas Ornaments signed by various Republican 'celebrities,' and are auctioning the entire collection in a 5-day, online auction. Notables such as Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Karl Rove, have donated ornaments, and many of the ornaments are quite valuable as individual items. Assembled into this collection, they are priceless. Many of the ornaments reflect something of the donor; Karl Rove, known in political circles as 'The Architect,' donated a White House Ornament that commemorates White House architect James Hoban. Conservative champion Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota donated a glass elephant wearing a winter hat and scarf, and Sarah Palin donated an Alaska-themed ornament along with several unique pins from her state. Other notable donors include Martha MacCallum of Fox News, RNC Chairman Michael Steele, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Governor Rick Perry, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, and Congressman John Carter. It has been such fun to collect these ornaments ...

TENS of thousands of supporters of Barack Obama began streaming into a snow-bound Washington over the weekend in advance of tomorrow's presidential inauguration. Up to two million people are predicted to attend the ceremony, the largest gathering ever seen in Washington, and by far the most people to attend a presidential swearing-in. Mammoth security precautions are in place amid fears of terrorist attacks with 58 different agencies, including the army, air force and Marine Corps, deploying thousands of armed officers in the city. Security fences, metal detectors and giant TV screens are being erected along the 1.9 mile long Mall that stretches from the Capitol Building, where the ceremony will take place, to the Lincoln Memorial. Americans are forgetting the recession and the Iraq war to indulge in a surge of optimism: a New York Times poll found 79 per cent think Barack Obama will improve the nation a level of support that is higher than for any incoming president in three decades. The official celebrations last ten days five before the ceremony, and five after. Already, Washington has a carnival atmosphere, with stars including Beyonce, Bono, Sheryl Crow, Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder in town for a concert. Thousands braved freezing temperatures and heavy snow to cheer Obama along the 137-mile train route he and his entourage took at the weekend from Philadelphia to Washington, recreating part of the 12-day journey to the city taken by Abraham Lincoln to the ...

This is a demo reel from a few years back. Most of the work here I was the director, DP, camera op and editor. The first part is a montage of just a few things I've made, the second half is a couple scenes from my 30min 16mm film "All the Answers". I shot it silent, and then recorded and mixed all the sounds and music in post.

A visiting head of state enters the house for a state dinner through the North Portico. Tourists finish their tour by exiting through the North Portico. The house was originally built without porticos. Before construction of the north portico in 1824, the north façade looked much more similar to Leinster House shown in the picture immediately below. Both James Hobanoriginal architect of the White House, and Benjamin Henry Latrobe who developed plans for its rebuilding after the 1814 fire, proposed north and south porticos. Both porticos, as built, are the work of Hoban. 'Leinster House in Dublin' The eighteenth century ducal palace in Dublin served as a model for the White House.
